Raina & Darshan

Surrounded by calm oceans with clear skies above, Athens, Greece was a stunning location to host an elegant and bespoke wedding. The gracious couple chose this setting to tie the knot in hopes that it would serve as the perfect vacation for their loved ones. Each event during the weekend was scheduled so guests would still have plenty of time to explore this beautiful city and take advantage of the delicious local cuisine.

Before guests even arrived, they got a taste of what was going to greet them via the watercolor invitation suite showcasing the views from resort property and a beautiful doorstep from an Athenian home. The watercolors were carried through with itinerary cards, welcome bags and signage through the wedding weekend.

Bringing the celebration to its peak, the reception was located on a nautical inspired four tier round deck with string lighting that accentuated the romantic atmosphere. From cocktail napkins that were inscribed with the couple’s favorite lyrics, to a custom candle wall that served as both a seating chart and favors, no detail was spared. As guests were being seated for dinner, they found their names carefully placed at their setting, along with a love letter addressed to the table from the couple.

Ananya & Jahan , Intimate Wedding

“Love is within me, that which makes me dance in glee.
Love is all I see, the light with which I synthesize
The joy I beam into the world around me.
Love is you, your ferocity.
Love is your subtle, serenading, saccharine gravity.
It is validity for who I am.”

In a beautiful home, amidst intimacy and ecstasy, Ananya and Jahan gave their hand to each other. They are the message to this world that a wedding is meant for the hearts: not for the rituals, not for the razzmatazz, but for “being in love”. It was 80 of their loved ones, a day of celebration, and what shone through were their smiles.

Their being with one another is calming. To themselves and to the world around them. What we learnt from Ananya and Jahan is that their love is natural, effortless and it's beautiful. There is abundance and not to mention, some furry 'paw'mises.
Ananya, Jahan, you have taught us an important lesson. When you find euphoria in love, it doesn't hit you like a crashing wave, but cradles you like the serene sea. And everything, henceforth, can only go swimmingly.

“You are the essence of the essence, the intoxication of love.
I long to sing your praises but stand mute with the agony of wishing in my heart !”
― Rumi, The Love Poems of Rumi
Sometimes you go to a new place , meet strangers and you come back with a smile on your face , this was one such wedding. Mona and Ahmad’s chemistry has this infectious emotional depth and a mischievous playfulness that took us by surprise.

Meghna & Karan

Rare is that Indian Wedding celebrated with intimacy, for intimacy. Rare is the atypical aesthetics used to decorate an age old tradition. Rare is the coming together of two souls in love amidst large flowers and dusky skies. Rare; that’s the word that best describes our bride- Meghna.

An ardent believer that it’s ‘Summer somewhere’, our bride married the love of her life in winter but with a sunny twist. Celebrating the Indian traditions with close loved ones and friends who are family, Meghna is close to our hearts for her serene smile and simplistic demeanour. It was a lid back affair, with her best of friends being her sisters, helping her tie the knot with cheer and chime.

Who said Love is blind..? All they had to do was see around New York to fall in love ;)

To Meghna and Karan, may the sun be bright, may the champagne be bubbly, and may it be summer always…

Simple. Intimate. Easy.

Zina Zain

I was in bliss, made peace with the world.

I was not wanting, I was full.

I was sure I had everything. I could sleep the minute I shut my eyes.

Then on a rainy day, my eyes met yours.

My soul had a conversation with yours.

And unnoticeably, the ground shifted below me.

My spirit inconsolable, my soul gravitated towards you.

No sleep, no contentment, life was suddenly incomplete.

I had to come to you, to the mountains, to the snow.

I was fine until I met you.

But now that I have you, I have my salvation.

This wedding, we witnessed two love stories made for the books. Each one surreal, sublime, spiritual in its own way. One between Zina and Zain. The other between Zina and Zoya. And this beautiful handover between soulmates took place in Kashmir, amidst snow-covered mountains and peeking trees. This intimate Nikah was a transcendent experience for us- the myriad emotions punctuating every event and the coming together of two cultures. It oftentimes escapes us how spiritual a wedding is. It is a bond made for a lifetime, giving of one’s soul to the other to hold. Zina and Zain’s wedding was a reminder of this deep meaning of marriage. It was a pleasure to witness Zina and her relationship with both her soulmates. One will have hand and the other will have her heart.

Rhea & Divish

The first conversation we ever had with Rhea and Divish, she said, "Guys, do something crazy. We are ready for absolutely anything!". We are sure many couples say that. But boy, was it different with this one. Rhea's friends call her a firecracker with unlimited energy. That's an understatement. She is sexy and confident, relentless and tireless. Nothing can match her except Divish's swagger and cool aura. When we say we took them out for a lakeside session in the cold, then trapped them in a dark room for some experimental shots, put them in a pool, then a bath tub, and all the while they kept up their energy, we ain't lying. Their wedding was a three day party with craze, energy, drinks and dancing that we thoroughly enjoyed capturing and being a part of.

A fine morning in Udaivilas, an animal lover and a rapper (you guess who's who) came to the mandap in their own Baraats, married with a view of the lake in a beautiful ceremony, and danced the night away with their friends and family.

Rhea, Divish, you guys are superstars! Their married life is just like Rhea announced in her burning man party- "The party is just f*ckin getting started guys!"

We can’t stop thanking our stars for taking us to places we have never been before,
exploring cultures we have never experienced before , meeting people we have never met before. And this was yet another one of such occasion.
Alya and Yahia’s all Arabic wedding was an experience to behold - one for witnessing the beautiful Arabic culture, second for spending time
with the families and though we were the only outsiders but still we felt like a part of the family.

MAYA & AADITYA

The past few months have made us all realise the importance of two things in particular - our friends and our backyard! And this wedding is an important celebration of both! The lines between family and friends were blurred , we didn’t see mom’s and dad’s and brothers and sisters - what we saw were a bunch of friends coming together to celebrate two of the gang members getting married. And it made so much sense that they decided to marry in Maya’s backyard, it couldn’t have been any place else. Friends, backyard, and a new beginning . Perfect.

Here’s to our original ‘Mirchi’ bride and groom. Maya, Aditya, may life be lazy, boozy, and a whole lot of crazy. In the famous words of Javed Akhtar-

Mansi & Sam

Weddings are described as coming together of not just two people, but two families. But Mansi and Sam’s picturesque union was the coming together of two countries. In a lot of ways, India and Italy are very similar. Our love for food, strong family values, and an eternal longing for a good party! And what a party that wedding was! We saw a little bit of everything- fun, emotions, beauty, and a captivating love story. But what touched us the most is being at the centre of these families’ emotions. We heard heartfelt childhood stories in Gujarati and Italian. They danced to Bella Ciao and Chogada Tara. And seeing this wonderful groom’s tribe embrace the big fat Indian wedding was very entertaining. No surprise, they loved it! Set in the beauteous Jaisalmer, this wedding was complete with lanterns embracing the sunset, kites flying over desert dunes, music roaring in an afterparty no less than Tomorrowland, and a magnificent Royal wedding. Mansi and Sam will always be special to us for truly making us a part of their wedding. Elegant Mansi and playful Sam, here’s to you guys. Ti Amo!

Isha & Rahil

Isha and Rahil brought a crazy bunch with them to their "fake wedding" in Phuket, which was no less than a real extravaganza. And these friends (one of them was a pretend pastor who went and got ordained), went bananas in back to back parties and nothing could stop them. They turned the welcome brunch into a rain party and the white wedding into an entertaining madness complete with funny toasts and friends writing their vows.

Finally by the power vested in us by our sheer love for crazy weddings and no official entity whatsoever, we pronounce Isha and Rahil, the soon to be (officially) married wacky two.
